Dr Valentine trained at the Middlesex Hospital, London, where she also gained a BSc in Psychology. She has worked in General Practice and as an Associate Specialist in Genito-Urinary Medicine since 1994, working at the Mortimer Market Centre (UCH) for 7 years before starting at Kingston Hospital in 2003. During this time she became interested in psychosexual issues and sought formal training in psychosexual therapy at the Institute of Psychosexual Medicine. She has run a dedicated Psychosexual Clinic at Kingston Hospital since 2010, where she receive referrals from the Genito-Urinary Medicine Consultants and local GPs.
