About
Dr Heaton Graduated from the University of Edinburgh and the University of St Andrews in 2005.
He now works in Portsmouth NHS Trust, one of the busiest dermatology departments in the country. He has interests and speciality training in all aspects of dermatology including:
General dermatology (eczema, psoriasis, acne, vitiligo, itchy skin, urticaria, infections), Skin lesions (moles, cysts, warts, skin tags and blemishes), Sun damage and treatments, photodynamic therapy and skin cancer treatments, including surgical management of melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancers (including basal cell and squamous cell carcinoma).
He has performed thousands of primary plus re-excisions from all areas of the body in the management of both melanoma and non-melanoma skin cancer. His goal is always treatment of skin cancer with utmost consideration to preserving the cosmetic profile.

Personal interests
I am married to a local General Practitioner and have a young family at the local Church of England School. At the weekends we enjoy all outdoor pursuits and in the summer our favourite holiday destination is the North Cornwall coast for walking, surfing, fishing and good home cooking.
