Varicose veins

Varicose veins are enlarged, sometimes twisted veins that most often develop in the leg. They can be hereditary, tending to run in families. They can be worse during or after pregnancy, or if you are overweight. While they can be uncomfortable and unsightly, they don’t usually cause any serious health problems. If your varicose veins bother you, ask your GP to refer you to a Nuffield Health Hospital near you. We offer many treatments to eliminate unsightly veins including:

  • Radiofrequency for varicose veins
  • Foam sclerotherapy for varicose veins

Thread Veins

Thread veins can appear on any part of your body. They appear when small clusters of red veins form just beneath your skin. Although harmless, they can cause distress as you may feel self-conscious - particularly if they appear on an exposed part of your body such as the legs. Thread veins can also be treated using sclerotheropy.
