When you’re busy, trying to juggle home, work and family, it is important to be able to access a doctor and other medical services rapidly and at a time convenient to you.
The Private GP Service (called Apollo GP) that practice at Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital offer a convenient service that enables you and your family to receive the help and advice you need at a time to suit you.
A GP service with minimal waiting time
One of the advantages of being based within the hospital is that we can arrange for investigations such as blood tests or x-rays to be done at the time of your GP consultation, or the following day. We can also ensure rapid referral to any one of the wide range of specialists that consult at the hospital.
Private GP Services
We offer a full range of direct access GP services similar to those available at your local NHS surgery, but with the flexibility to fit around your schedule. No registration with an NHS GP is needed. We also welcome visitors from abroad.
Our GP service includes:
- Diagnostic imaging centre (including ultrasound and mammograms)
- Electrocardiograms
- Physiotherapy/Rehabilitation
- General lifestyle advice (including weight management, smoking cessation and cholesterol levels)
- Referrals to hospital consultants
- On-site Pharmacy
- Onsite pathology (from November 2011)
- Well Man and Well Woman and Executive Screening
- Home visits
- Prescriptions, contraception and immunisation services

Dr Sharan Gandham
Dr Sharan Gandham at Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital Dr Sharan Gandham qualified from Sheffield University. She spent 5 years training in hospital before entering General Practice. Dr Gandham works in a busy combined GP practice / Walk in Centre, in Teddington.
Dr Gandham is interested in paediatrics, women’s health and health promotion.
Dr Sanjeev Sekhon
Dr Sanjeev Sekhon at Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital Dr Sanjeev Sekhon qualified from Charing Cross Medical School in 1997. He completed his training in hospital and has been a GP partner in Chobham and West End for 10 years.
Dr Sekhon's special interests include diabetes, asthma and men’s health.
Dr Chris Richards
Dr Chris Richards at Nuffield Health Guildford Hospital Dr Chris Richards qualified in 2002 from St George’s Hospital Medical School, and has lived in Surrey for 6 years. He has been a Partner in a General Practice in Chobham since 2008.
Dr Richard's special interests include men’s health, and infertility.
Costs
An initial consultation with one of our GPs costs £75, with additional fees if tests/treatments are required (a price list is available on request).
Some health insurance policies may cover consultation fees and investigations (please check with your insurer first). Any medicines required will be prescribed on a private prescription redeemable at any pharmacy. You will need to pay for the cost of drugs. We’re waiting to hear from you.
