Glasgow Hospital FAQs

• Where are you located?
  We are located in the West End of Glasgow, just around the corner from Great Western Road. You can travel by car, train or bus.
  

  • Car: Input the hospital address into Google Maps or into your sat navigation depending on where you are travelling from to receive exact route guidance.
  • Train: Hyndland Station is closest to the hospital, followed by an approximate 15-minute walk.
  • Bus: 6/6A to Gartnavel bus stop followed by an approximate 10-minute walk.
• What are the visiting hours?
  Visiting is open between 10.00am-9.00pm. Visitors may be asked to relocate to the waiting area during physio/essential care.
• Where can I park?
  All self paying and insured patients and their guests can park of free of charge in our site car park. There is also free off-site car parking available.
  
  Visitors are welcome from 10.00am-9.00pm. Your recovery is of paramount importance and you may find that you are very tired following surgery. With this in mind, visitors are encouraged to leave by 9.00pm.
• Where can I find a review about consultants at your hospital?
  You can search for information on the Private Information Healthcare Information Network (PHIN).

• Can I have a copy of my medical records?
  Yes, of course you can most certainly request for your medical records. Please call us at the hospital and request to be put through to the medical records team. You will then be e-mailed across a SARS (Subject Access Request) form which you will need to complete. You can e-mail this form or hand it back to the hospital to receive your medical records. If you do not have access to an e-mail address, we can post out your SARS request to your home address.
• Do you offer a personal medical loan payment plan?
  We are able to recommend a nominated finance company who have expertise specifically in medical loans and understand the needs of patients. Loan decisions are made within 2 hours and are subject to finance checks and a confirmed surgery date. Find out more here.
• Do you offer insurance?
  We do not offer private medical insurance, however we do accept payment via all major health insurers.
• Do I get a discount from Nuffield Health hospital treatments as a Nuffield Health gym member?
  If you are a Nuffield Health Gym member, our Nuffield Hospitals will deduct 10% off hospital fees for any procedure. This excludes any cosmetic or Pathology treatments.
  
  This offer is non-transferable and has no monetary value. You will need to state this offer along with your membership number at the time of booking your hospital treatment.
  
  The hospital fee accounts for a proportion of your overall procedure fee.

• Do you offer fertility treatment?
  We no longer offer this treatment at our hospital. Please refer to TFP GCRM who provide this service.
