How can I help you improve your health?

I'm a physiotherapist with 15 years of experience after qualifying at the University of the Witwatersrand in 2007. I have a broad and versatile skillset to draw upon, such as extensive manual therapy techniques, Pilates, running assessments, and chronic pain management.

I aim to assess and treat each person in a holistic manner to suit the specific needs and goals of the individual in front of me. I also have experience in women's health, hand therapy and clinic development. I've been exposed to diverse cultures and settings such as rural Zambia and investment banks in London. This exposure has enhanced my problem-solving capabilities and enables me to be an effective therapist in any setting.

I currently play tag rugby for Great Britain and I'm aiming to participate in the World Cup in 2023.

My Qualifications

  • BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy
  • MCSP and HCPC registered

Lewis Johnson Lead Physiotherapist About

Lewis Johnson

Lead Physiotherapist

How can I help you improve your health?

Since completing my Physiotherapy degree at the University of Nottingham in 2011, I have experienced working in a variety of settings including the NHS, private clinics and elite sports clubs. This has given me invaluable experience managing a diverse array of injuries and conditions.

I have helped patients achieve realistic goals from increasing general fitness to returning to advanced-level sporting demands. Along the way, I have learnt skills in sports massage, joint mobilisations, rigid and dynamic sports taping, acupuncture and the importance of balancing rehab and exercise with load management.

My passion for physiotherapy is rooted in my own interest in exercise and fitness. I grew up with a passion for football and played for the football academies at West Ham United and Cambridge United. As well as continuing to play football at the weekends, I also mix up my routine with racket sports like tennis, badminton, table tennis and squash.

Lewis has been known to partake in the occasional running challenge, ranging from a sociable ParkRun to a more enduring half marathon.
