Mr Krishna has worked as a spinal consultant in the UK for 15 years, having completed spinal fellowships in Brisbane, Hong Kong and Nottingham, UK.
His work comprises the entire range of spinal disorders with main focus on the treatment of degenerative neck and low back pain.
Mr Krishna understands that patients can experience anxiety and concern about undergoing spinal surgery and therefore offers a whole range of support, from coffee mornings and videos to an online discussion forum. Along with a group of past patients, he set up a Spinal Support Group, which has now become a charity. Further information and future dates are available on his website.
Patients from outside of the area and abroad have travelled to Tees to receive treatment from Mr Krishna, having been recommended by friends or family. His work has received national recognition in the media and he has made several appearances on regional television.
Research:
Mr Krishna runs an active spinal research programme and his work is presented on a regular basis in scientific conferences. A full list of these publications can be found on his website.
Other interests:
Besides surgery Mr Krishna has an expertise in spinal injection procedures and spinal rehabilitation programmes, having established the Nuffield Spinal Rehabilitation programme several years ago.
Personal interests:
In his free time Mr Krishna is a keen traveller and enjoys spending time with his two teenage children.
