Profile:

Paul Banwell was educated in Tunbridge Wells, UK, before undertaking his medical studies at St. Mary's Hospital Medical School, London. He graduated in 1992 (MB BS) in medicine and surgery, and continued his surgical training in London to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England (FRCS) in 1996.

He had specialist training in Plastic, Reconstructive & Aesthetic Surgery took place in London, Oxford, Salisbury and Stoke Mandeville. He has also held Senior Fellowship positions at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, and the Princess Alexandra Hospital, Brisbane, Queensland. He is a fully accredited specialist in Reconstructive and Aesthetic plastic surgery and is on the Specialist Register in Plastic Surgery with the General Medical Council. During his time in the UK and abroad (North America, Europe and Australia) he has had extensive experience and exposure in modern aesthetic surgical practice and believes that attention to detail is vital.

Mr Banwell offers a fully accredited cosmetic surgery service in the South East and along the South Coast, specialising in body contouring, cosmetic breast surgery, facial rejuvenation, advanced skin care and anti-aging techniques. He also treats many patients with skin cancer, moles and disfiguring scares as well as providing a mole check service. 

Research:

Mr Banwell has published two books and over 50 papers, book chapters and monographs.

Breast surgery including augmentation, reduction, mastopexy, asymmetry, implant replacement, nipple reduction, inverted nipple correction, liposuction, abdominoplasty, facelifts, eyelid surgery, cosmetic gynaecology (labiaplasty / labial reduction), advanced skin care, skin cancer, scar management including keloids, chemical peels and dermal fillers.

Personal interests:

In his leisure time, Paul collects Japanese swords and tsubas, and enjoys garden design, cricket, surfing, running, sculpture and modern art.
