Nuffield Health gains NHSLA Level 2 Accreditation

Nuffield Health, the UK’s largest healthcare charity, has earned the highest possible score in the NHS Litigation Authority’s Risk Management Standards for Independent Providers of NHS Care (2009-10).

Nuffield Health scored 10 out of 10 in all five criteria of the assessment: Clinical Care; Governance; Competent & Capable Workforce; Safe Environment and Learning from Experience, making it the first in the independent health sector to achieve NHSLA Level 2.

Nuffield Health was also the first in the independent sector to achieve NHSLA Level 1 in 2007.

Dr Andy Jones, Nuffield Health Group Medical Director said: “Nuffield Health is passionate about delivering the highest standards of patient care. So I’m delighted we have gained NHSLA 2 which is an important measure of the quality of our staff, consultants and processes. This assessment reflects well on all of them and I’d like to thank them for all their efforts.”

According to Steve Walker, Chief Executive of the NHS Litigation Authority, “The Board and staff of Nuffield Health should be very proud of their considerable achievement, which reflects a great deal of effort and a strong commitment to risk management within the organisation.”
