Coming into hospital as a Daypatient

Being a Daypatient means that you are coming in for a more involved procedure than those carried out in Outpatients.  Advances in medical techniques have made day surgery an attractive option for many people who want to minimise disruption to family life and work, as although you may need some recovery time, you should be able to go home on the same day.  You will be advised of what to bring with you and of any preparation you need to make. In general, it’s a good idea to wear loose casual clothing without any make-up, nail varnish or jewellery.
