About

I am a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in shoulder, elbow, wrist, and hand conditions. I see patients at Nuffield Health The Grosvenor Hospital in Chester and at the Countess of Chester Hospital.

I treat both adults and children. I aim to help you reduce pain, improve movement, and return to your daily activities.


My experience and approach

I have been a consultant since 2006. Over this time, I have developed a specialist upper limb practice with a strong focus on modern, evidence-based care.

I use the latest techniques to improve your recovery and long-term results. These include minimally invasive (small incision) and image-guided treatments.

I am known for delivering modern, evidence‑based care using the latest minimally invasive and image‑guided techniques:

  • Hydrodilatation for frozen shoulder (a treatment to stretch the joint capsule)
  • Ultrasound-guided injections (using imaging to place injections accurately)
  • Arthroscopy (keyhole surgery) for shoulder, elbow, and wrist problems
  • Minimally invasive fracture surgery
  • Joint replacement, including reverse shoulder replacement

These treatments are designed to reduce pain and help you recover more quickly.

I am widely recognised as a national and international expert in upper limb surgery, who is regularly invited to lecture and teach on:

I was nominated for four consecutive years (2012–2015) for the Mersey Trainer of the Year Award, reflecting my commitment to training the next generation of orthopaedic surgeons.
