Professional interests

Honorary Professor, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Bath. Involved in the design and development of seven hip prosthesis, three of which are still in current use (including the revolutionary conservative Proxima implant).
Pro-bono work in Bangladesh and Africa.

Experience

Special interest areas include: Surgery of arthritis in the young, in haemophilia, in juvenile idiopathic arthritis. Has carried out over 6,000 primary hip replacements, more than 1,500 total hip revisions and approximately 2,500 total knee replacements.
