Hospital information

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital was originally established in 1981 as a charitable trust and joined Nuffield Health Hospitals in 1994.

Serving the Coventry and Warwickshire regions and beyond, we offer a comprehensive range of specialist services and treatments for medical and surgical conditions.

All of our staff are highly trained in providing care on an individual basis, with an overall aim of creating a caring environment to encourage a speedy recovery and well-being.

 

 

Hospital facts

The building was originally the home of an Orthopaedic Surgeon. It was redesigned and renovated and opened in 1981 as a private hospital. Nuffield Health assumed ownership in 1994.

On-site pharmacy:

The pharmacy department provides 24 hour cover for in patient requirements.

An on site pharmacy service is available between 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday for the dispensing of Nuffield Health private outpatient prescriptions. The pharmacy department also assembles and dispenses medication prior to an in patient or day patient leaving the hospital.

 The pharmacy department holds a stock of injectables and topical creams as prescribed or administered by the Consultant Plastic Surgeons who use the hospital.

 

The pharmacist is available to answer any medicine-related queries whilst a patient is in the hospital.

 

Other facilities:
10 consulting rooms, outpatient ophthalmic suite, nurse-led pre-assessment, general X-ray, MRI scanner, CT scanner, DEXA scanning for osteoporosis, mammography, endoscopy suite, high dependency unit (HDU), pathology laboratory

All rooms private, en-suite facilities, nurse call system, direct dial telephone, flat screen television, wi-fi access

Visiting hours
At any time, subject to the needs of the patient. It is advisable to check with the Sister or Nurse in charge on the Nursing Floor.
Mobile phone policy
Ideally mobile phones should not be used in the building.
Smoking policy
There is a "No Smoking" policy operating throughout the hospital and its grounds.
Refurbishments
Refurbishment of the patient bedrooms was completed in 2009.

Yes - full access to language support by prior agreement.
